Children, ages 0-5, and their caretakers are invited to join us for Storytime at the Paonia Library every Thursday at 10:30am.

Step into a Dinosaur Escape Room at the library as part of our Summer Reading Program, Unearth a Story! Work in teams to solve fossil clues, habitat challenges, and mystery codes as you decode facts to unlock boxes and move to the next stage.

Come see the Packhorse Librarians at Pioneer Days on June 13th, 2026! Librarians will see you in the crowd as they walk the parade.

Crack open your own dino egg and see what’s hidden inside! Kids and teens can dig, chip, and uncover a tiny dinosaur while learning a little about fossils and prehistoric creatures.

Patrons will have the opportunity to record their family stories on the 13th of June and the 11th of July from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM.

Discover the science behind preservation with a creative twist! Participants will make amber-colored soup and embed a small bug inside, mimicking the way insects were trapped in amber millions of years ago.

Share your family's history with other members of your community. Visit the Delta Library on June 20th and July 18th from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM to show off an item tied to you family's history -- heirlooms, keepsakes, photographs, recipes.

Join us for a roaring good Storytime! We will read, sing, and stomp like dinos! Children are encouraged to dress up as dinosaurs, paleontologists, archaeologists, or explorers. Keep a lookout for a T-Rex guest.

If you like dinosaurs or are just a massive science fiction fan, you are going to want to join us for our A Jurassic Book Club & Movie Viewing Party.

Do you have what it takes to be an archeologist? Test your skills by escavating a cookie! Use a toothpick to free your chocolate chip "artifacts" at the Delta Library from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
