You may use your library card at any Delta County Library. Your card also gives you access to materials only available on the library website. If you need to sign up for a card, please visit our Get a Card page for information and an application.

Your Library Account

Use our online catalog to track your checked out items and due dates, place holds and renewals, update your information, and more.

Log in to your account

Enter your library card number (without spaces) and your password. See the questions and answers below for detailed information about passwords and account features.

Holds & Renewals

You can place holds on up to 20 total items.

Follow these steps:

  • Log in to your account.
  • Search the catalog, then look to the right of the title you would like to reserve.
  • Click on the Place Hold button to the right of the title.
  • Choose your pickup library on the next screen and click on Submit Hold Request. (Note: “Automatically cancel this hold if not filled by” and “log me out after requesting the item” are optional.)

You can modify your holds by clicking on the My Account button or “titles on hold” under Account in the left panel.

To improve convenience to patrons, Delta County Libraries has implemented automatic renewals for most library items.

Items eligible for renewal will automatically renew three days before their due date, extending their loan periods from their original due dates.

Most library items will auto-renew, including materials owned by other libraries and checked out through Delta County Libraries, but there are exceptions. Items will NOT be renewed if:

  • The item is special equipment, such as Colorado State Parks passes or outdoor gear, or if the item is considered a 3D object, such as Hotspots or Chromebooks, which are nonrenewable.
  • The item is downloadable material (Overdrive and Libby do not allow for auto-renewals).
  • There is a hold or recall on the item.
  • The item has reached its maximum allowable renewals (two renewals).
  • Patron account charges have exceeded $10.
  • A library card is expired or suspended.
  • The item is checked out through Prospector or Interlibrary Loan. Those items are not eligible for auto-renewal.

When an item’s due date is approaching, you will receive an Email Notice from the Library three days before the item’s due date. The notice will reflect checked-out items that have been automatically renewed and those that cannot be renewed.

At this time, if you are not set up for email notifications you will need to call your local library, or log in to your account to check due dates and auto-renewals.

If you don’t currently receive email notices from Delta County Libraries, you can sign up by logging in to your library account and clicking Account Settings, or you can visit any library location for staff assistance.

We hope you enjoy this new auto-renewal service from Delta County Libraries!

As long as no one else is waiting for your materials, you can renew your items up to 2 more times.

Follow these steps:

  • Log in to your account.
  • Click on the Checked Out tab.
  • Check the boxes next to the items you wish to renew.
  • Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click the Renew button.
  • You will see right away whether or not we were able to renew your items and your new due dates will show by each item.
