Delta County Libraries strives to provide publicly supported free library services to all residents of the District and we are committed to making this site accessible to all users.

Conformance status

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) defines requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA. Delta County Libraries is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 level AA. Partially conformant means that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the accessibility standard. The Library has also created a Web Accessibility Compliance Plan (.PDF) where users can track the progress of this project.

Despite our best efforts to ensure accessibility of our website, there may be some limitations. Below is a description of known limitations, and potential solutions. Please contact us if you observe an issue not listed below.
Known limitations for Delta County Libraries:

  1. Third-Party Content: Delta County Libraries offers links to third-party databases, resources, and documents that may not be accessible. While we cannot control the accessibility of third-party content, we are happy to assist anyone who needs help accessing content on our site.
  2. Archived Documents: Certain files on our website are in Portable Document Format (PDF) and require the free Adobe Acrobat Reader. because might not work with current assistive technologies because they use outdated technologies that do not support accessibility.

The Library regularly runs reports on the accessibility of our website. Reports may be provided upon request.

Should a visitor need help accessing Library-supplied web content, please contact us using the email address or phone number below. We will respond with feedback within three days of submission and ensure proper steps are taken to address the problem. Please be specific when describing the information you seek or the problem you encountered. If we cannot resolve the problem due to an issue stemming from a third-party content provider, we will work to assist you with reading and accessing content on these platforms. We will respond to feedback within 3 to 5 business days.
