Event Details

Come and join us at Cedaredge Public Library every 1st and 3rd Friday of each month from 4PM-6PM for Writing Outside Your Comfort Zone. For this writing group, we will be utilizing writing prompts and specified formats to encourage and challenge writers of all skill levels. On the 1st Friday of each month, we will hand out the prompts and spend 2 hours free writing and sharing ideas/approaches. Everyone will get the same prompt each month. Part of the fun each month is hearing how each participant approaches the prompt and where they take it.

On the 3rd Friday of each month, we will have an open mic for participants to share what they produced based on the prompt. Just coming to listen on the 3rd Friday is completely alright if you aren’t wanting to share what you wrote. We hope to see you at the library to share in the art of storytelling!
