Chromebooks

Open Chromebook

Chromebooks provide a fast, easy and secure way to browse the web. Use one to finish your homework, check your email, apply for work, read a book, stream a movie, and more. To use a Chromebook, you will need an internet connection. Don’t have internet? No problem. Check it out in tandem with a hotspot and you’re all set!

Checkout/Return

Hotspots and Chromebooks are devices that may be checked out by patrons with a library card in good standing and no fines over $10.00. Checkout is on a first-come, first-served basis for 1 week.

To ensure that these devices are available to everyone, patrons will be limited to one of each type at a time, with no renewals and no holds. A charge of $10 a day will incur for overdues.

Never return a hotspot or Chromebook in the book drop. All components of these devices must be returned in-person, during open hours, to the circulation desk at the same library from which it was checked out. Patrons are responsible for any loss or damage that occurs before a device is returned to staff at the circulation desk. Patrons are responsible for the full replacement cost (up to $1000) of a device if it is damaged or stolen and library borrowing privileges will be revoked.
