Bring the ancient world to life with paint! As part of our Summer Reading Program, Unearth a Story, participants will create their own prehistoric landscapes, complete with towering dinos and lush ancient environments.

Experience Steve Jenkin's classic book "Prehistoric Actual Size," a book that shows dinosaurs and other prehistoric creatures to scale! Afterwards, create scale drawings and models of dinosaurs.

Make slime and add a toy insect to recreate what happened when prehistoric insects were preserved in tree resin for millions of years.

Fossil Fest brings the dino magic all day long with crafts to make, challenges to try, fossils to uncover, and creativity everywhere you look. It’s the kind of event where every age group finds their people, their fun, and their spark.

Move like a dinosaur in this prehistoric-themed obstacle course!

Get ready for destruction and reconstruction! Kids will decorate a ceramic pot, break it into pieces, then glue it back together -- just like archaeologists reconstruct ancient pottery found at dig sites!

Use upcycled fabric and other materials to stitch dinosaurs that express your perspective on sustainability, climate change, adaptation, or other environmental issues.

Join the Fiber Friends at Paonia Library to knit, crochet, and enjoy other forms of fiber arts! The Fiber Friends aim to enhance and support fiber skills in the community. Bring your own supplies. All ages and skill levels are welcome to join!
