Three best friends make a challenge each summer—swim across the town lake for example. Each year though, the challenges revolve more and more around girls. This summer—see a naked girl before school starts. And it can’t be your mom or sister or anything gross like that. Perhaps the new hot girl on their swim team? Between trying to get buff to win the butterfly at the championships, controlling his crazy grandpa, and surviving his evil swim coach, 15 year-old Matt has his work cut out for him. An accidental overdose on laxatives and getting caught with make-up on don’t help his case. This book is non-stop laughter. You’re stomach will hurt when you are done reading it.

Jessica Reviews:

If I Stay by Gayle Forman

Snow day. Mia’s family (mom, dad, and younger brother teddy) pile in the car to go visit some friends. Next thing Mia knows, she is standing over her broken body on the side of the road watching her parents being zipped into body bags and herself and her brother rushed away in an amulance. Is she dead or alive? She’s in the middle, having to decide for herself. Reflecting on her past and watching her friends and family cope in the waiting room as she stays in a coma, Mia lets us into her world–her relationships with her boyfriend Adam, best friend Kim, her family, her love of classical music, her insecurities and passions. This book is moving and causes you to ask “what would you do if you had the choice?”
